Post mortem 2006

Assalamualaikum wrt. to all,

I am happy today as have planned earlier to finish several tasks and have it done before noon.Foregt to check my son at Taska. Will pay a visit to his place tomorrow. Normally, once in a month l will go to nursery just to 'spot check' what's happening there.

Next, the issue today is about muhasabah or post mortem 2006 and welcome 2007. Usually, each and everyone of us has a resolution to begin with.We only have 13 days left before 2007. Before we are excited to write lists of our aims, let's look at our previous resolution in 2006.

What have we achieved? Let's say, out of 7 aims, how many have we scored? What the unreached goals we have not got it? What are our pitfalls?

These questions are important as we do not want to repeat it twice. So, next year means you will start afresh with good attitude and well planned activities to make you a successful person.

I personally dislike when l asked someone "What is your ambition?" Replied with "To be successful person." The word "successful" is so general and vague as not specific in achieving it. Unless you specifically mention "I wish to score 3.75 in my CGPA next semester ." or "Besides studying, l wish to generate 4k monthly income" or "I wish to be a millionaire before l turn 25, you will end up getting the same and old excuse "not yet the time".

You plan from the outset. If you wish to score 3.75,you have prepered a selected subjects that you can score and which subjects you have difficulty. For the latter subjects, you will put more efforts as not to jeorpardize your target. This will make you focus and determine to excel.

If you wish to gain personal income besides studying, you must make sure that extra job will not deviate your attention from studying. In fact, this will make you more diligent and hardworking. You will cheerish every second and cannot afford to waste any more time.

Remember the basic principle to enjoy personal finance is to minimize risks and to maximize profits.

What are your opinions?
