Assalamualaikum wrt. everyone,
I have not emailed to all my students about this blog. When time permits, l will inform them. What are you doing now semester break ? Staying at home, watching Bawang Putih Bawang merah sinetron on TV3 and nothing beats the comfort of watching tv while enjoying a cup of tea!
Have you noticed that when you return to college/university, you became so passive, moddy, slow type of person and refuse to talk to anyone especially to unfamiliar faces ( due to no activity of intellectual discourse at home)? I mean the way you think of yourself, the way you walk , the way you talk and the way you perceive others? The big "C" is the performance key. Confidence. Have you reflected it in in your daily activities? For instance, when someone asks a question indirectly, do you have the guts and nerve to express your view although yours might be unpopular view?
So,here everyone, speak up. That's how you can unleash your confidence. You do not have to wear excessive make-up or buy the latest cosmetic product (like the tagline in one of the cosmetic product locally) just to stand out from the crowd.
Just do it in your own way and according to the custom but be polite please. You do not have to shout or scream or force everyone to agree with you. Just be yourself. Have you heard people always compliment a charming lady "When she talk, everyone listens." "You cannot defeat her". She is not that pretty but she has the aura that makes everyone pays attention to her whenever she goes. She does not wear expensive clothes. She stand out from the crowd as she can beat anyone with her eloquent speech, positive attitude like persistent, discipline, determination and has high self esteem.
So, what level of confidence you acquire now? How to achieve it? By doing something that can inhance yourself not others. teenagers at present they like to make others popular like Mawi, datuk Siti Norhaliza, Fiq Mentor ( so far l have not spent one single cent on voting them as my money is for me and for them) and others (they will get huge benefits financially and popularity but what do you get? Only a smile occasionally on tv and magazines and shake hand (only if you are lucky to meet them in person and take photo with them for two minutes (their time is precious. But what about yours!)! Only after you have spent your money first and they receive your money and be rich - NOT you!) So, have you ever thought on how to make yourself popular among small community like in town or small village and make money out of it!
So being so fanatic about certain artist until you are willing to do anything for him/her will eventually make yourself be at the losing party financially and gain nothing except enjoy few minutes with no spiritual enhancement, whether you realize it or not.
I just give one clear example, when you are asked to vote one particular artist via sms ( 1 sms costs up to between 50-65 cents ) in an entertainment show, you will spend few bucks or even hundred just to make sure that he/she got the place. But wil that make you a better person?NO. Of course you do not mind to spend RM100 as it is your money. But, if RM100 is spent wisely on purchasing one or even two very good books on self-improvement or motivational stuffs and you can save it as the books cost RM50 and set aside RM50 for education fund , would not it be great? At the same time, you feel great about yourself as you gain knowledge once you read the book. it inspires you like Dr. Tuah's book which costs only RM10 each (certain books like Nak ke tak nak?). At the same time, you will get the dividend at the end of every year. So, your money grows. You will feel good about yourself. Does it mean it boosts your self conficence?
If you like to attend seminars. There are many workshops being conducted during semester break like Kem Bina Semangat/ Camp / Motivational Courses and courses on Speed reading and internet marketing courses.
These workshop are beneficial. Even you will spent few hundred for certain workshops like Dr. Irfan Khairi's internet workshop, Dr. Syukri's short courses on study skill, it is worth the price. When l was a student, l am used to spend RM350 just to buy kit on speed reading and it works. Until now, during my busy hours, l managed to find time to read long articles and write 4 -5 pages in less than 20 minutes ( still need to edit for typing errors!)
So, use your money wisely. Always ask yourself when you purchase product or service, will this product or service will make myself good in term of self-confidence in a short/long run?
If the answer is positive , then never turn back. Purchase it immediately. But, if the answer is negative and will make the other person receive the benefit and NOT you, so do not buy it.Unless, you do not mind with what i said. This is only my two cent opinion.I receive no money or benefit from you but you are the one who will gain the benefit. Only IF you practise it!
Stand up and do the talking, make sure do it at the right time and at the right place!
Next issue - on Achievement.
