Salam to all,
It is very importance to be nice to almost everyone especially the elder folks like your grandpa or grandma. Why? To show our respect if we want others to respect us. We must treat others like what we want people to treat us kindly.
It is so nice to receive salam from my ex students. I happen to receive dull looks from my previous students. As if they did not know me in the first place! That's too bad for them. They have showed disrespect and in case l will interview them later, l will not recommend them due to their bad attitude! What a disgrace!
You will never know when and how your lecturer can be of your assistance in the future. Like becoming a referee. Until now, l still keep in touch with my ex lecturers who taught me during my degree until my master program. At least, few sms and card will make they appreciate our presence. At least, when l bump into them during conferences, they will greet me first and be happy to entertain my inquiries and few tips for me. That's good for my academic advancement.
So, keep in touch and do not remain silent or show a sour face in front of your lecturers, no matter how moody you are at that time. Impression will last longer than you thought..!
Stay cool and act friendly to everyone including your colleagues and lecturers. They can actually read your mind by your gesture and body language.
